My human, Sierracanon has been working hard getting ready for the NorCal AIDS cycle. With a couple of days of decent weather finally settling in, he actually took me out for a good ride. On Monday I carried him from our home in South Land Park, hopped on the bike trail at Discovery Park, and rode out to Sunrise Blvd. After a bit of a snack, we headed home on the return trip, for a total of 90 km of riding for the day. This was the longest ride we’ve done since Levi’s Fondo, so it felt good for both of us. Many more of these rides are in our future before May rolls around.
David has also been hard at work at his fund-raising, the primary reason for this 330 mile journey. The first month has been very successful, and as of yesterday, was less than $100 to go to his goal of $2000. With two months still to go, rumor has it that the goal amount is going to be increased, with the ultimate goal of course, to raise as much money as possible.
If you want to help Sierracanon surpass his goal in raising funds for local services for those suffering from this disease, please click the link below. No donation is too small!
See you on the road….
(By the way, Mr Canon…. my drivetrain could use a good cleaning, and a nice shine would be sweet. Soon??)
