My preparations for NorCal AIDS Cycle have kicked into high gear during March. More training rides with longer distances are a part of my weekly schedule. With only seven weeks to go, I still have a lot of getting shape to do. I was reminded of this on a NCAC Benchmark ride a couple of weeks ago, as I struggled up a couple of hills, that shouldn’t have been THAT hard.
Fund-raising is going well. I just passed the five-thousand dollar mark, so will get one of the coveted “Top Fund-Raiser jerseys” (coveted by me, anyway). My benefit organ concert at Trinity Cathedral last weekend, netted two-thousand dollars, and has put me within spitting distance of my goal of raising six-thousand dollars for NorCal AIDS Cycle. If you have been meaning to make a donation, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet, won’t you do it now?? I’d love to stop being distracted by fund-raising, and spending more time out riding! And to everyone who has already contributed… a huge thank you from the bottom of my heart. You are truly making a difference in our community!
