With only six weeks until the start of NCAC 2015, training is kicking into high gear. As the days go on, I will be on the bike for more days and longer rides. Don’t want to be caught out-of-shape when we tackle the big hill on May 16th!
Fund-raising has been going in earnest. My benefit organ concert netted over $2500, and was very successful At this point I am about 75% of the way towards making my fund-raising goal of eight-thousand dollars. If you have been planning to support NorCal AIDS Cycle for 2015, but just haven’t gotten around to it, please click the link below to go to my personal NCAC webpage.
Though AIDS is not in the forefront of the news theses days, it is still with us. New infections occur with alarming regularity, and yes, people can still die from it. And the reality is, that there is almost no government funding available to small local agencies involved in treatment, prevention, and education around HIV/AIDS. Many of these agencies right here in our community are struggling just to keep their doors open. Your contribution, large or small, can make a huge difference to someone in our community.
For those who have already contributed, you have my deep and humble thanks. For those who have not, please take a moment to make a difference in our community!
